Butter alternatives and saturated fat intake

I would like to know your opinion on butter substitute like Smart Balance.

In the spirit of equipping our members with information that they can then use for multiple health choices, the key thing in evaluating butter alternatives is the SATURATED FAT content per tablespoon. * For reference, South Asians should have no more than about 12 grams per day of saturated fat (based on the formula that saturated fat cannot exceed 7% of calories) * Regular BUTTER has about 7 Grams per tbs. Ghee has about 8 grams and depending on which brand you pick up, Smartbalance has 1.5-2.5 grams
