Microvascular dysfunction

what microvascular dysfunction is? Is there a resource about understanding/causes, prevention, diagnostic testing, or treatment for MVD?

Hi, the micro vascular dysfunction just means the small vessels are getting affected in any part of the body. This can be at the Heart level , in the brain, in the kidneys, in feet and upper extremities as well. What this leads to is the decreased blood supply in the small arteries which take blood to the end part . Diabetes is the most common cause of this, but other chronic condition conditions like high blood pressure can also cause these and they’re hard to fix. This can cause heart, disease, strokes, kidney disease, foot pain, and ulcers .The key to prevent these microvascular disease from happening is controlling obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Hope that helps.
