High PTH, Alkaline Phosphate, and Diabetes Risk
Does a very high level of Parathyroid PTH , Alkaline Phosphate, autoimmune conditions cause diabetes and heart related issues? What's the cause and how to bring it to the normal levels
typically the parathyroid levels are high when there is a low vitamin D, which can also cause a high alkaline phosphate. It is a very common cause in Indians . Typically hyperpara thyroid is not associated with diabetes. If the vitamin D is low, correcting the deficiency will reduce the parathyroid levels. If you can DM me personally with your numbers I can help you. There is one condition where the high parathyroid is associated with high calcium. In that condition, if the calcium is high for a long time, it can affect the heart vessels. Also autoimmune conditions is a very broad word .
